Love, Africa

As the East Africa bureau chief for The New York Times, Jeffrey Gettleman is living his teenage dream. He discovered East Africa during a do-it-yourself service trip during college and became passionate about this part of the world. But at the same time, Jeffrey fell in love with a fellow Cornell student. She became a criminal lawyer in the United States, while he yearned to return to Africa. Love, Africa is a revealing story of far-flung adventure, forgiveness, and long-distance relationships.

In a Sunburned Country

In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson takes readers on another epic journey. This time he’s touring Australia, where the weather is hot and dry, and the most lethal wildlife calls home. Along the way, he meets friendly locals, sips ice-cold beer, and soaks up the constant sunshine.

The Lost City of Z

The debut nonfiction book of David Grann, The Lost City of Z tells the story of British explorer, Percy Fawcett. In 1925, he set out to explore the Amazon on a mission to make one of the greatest archeological achievements in history. But he never returned. Over the years, scientists have retraced his footsteps, only to become captured by tribes. David delved deep into the mystery, and The Lost City of Z reveals his stunning discoveries of Fawcett’s fate.
